Todd Hart

Director of Government and Community Relations

Director of Government and Community Relations Todd Hart grew up in Orange County. He graduated from the California State University at Long Beach (CSULB), where he received his bachelor of science in business administration (finance) degree. While attending CSULB, he was the starting free safety for the University’s football team. 

Hart went on to receive his master of public administration degree from CSULB. He then attended the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. After earning his juris doctorate, Hart worked for several civil practice firms in Orange County.

In 1999, Hart joined the Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA) as the inaugural Director of Government and Community Relations. He has served in this position since that time.

Hart is responsible for planning, directing, and organizing the OCDA's government and community relations activities. He oversees the OCDA Trial Attorney Partnership, OCDA Speaker’s Bureau, Advisory Commissions, and provides direct analytical and administrative support to the District Attorney. Hart also advises the OCDA on legislative advocacy and governmental communications and oversees community relations and outreach for the Office. He is responsible for the OCDA’s Adopt-A-Family, Summer Youth Education and Spring Youth Sports Camp.

Hart currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation (OCYSF), a charity that works to provide funding for sports programs for underserved communities. The organization also provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors that have excelled in the classroom and on the field. He has worked with OCYSF for the past 21 years.  Hart is married and has three children.
